A sad goodbye and a big thank you to New Albion Records (1983--2012).
New Albion Records shuttered its retail operations after releasing a steady stream of contemporary classical and experimental music recordings since the 1980s.  New Albion's roster of artists and composers such as the Deep Listening Band, Lou Harrison, Ingram Marshall, Morton Feldman, and Somei Satoh was a seminal influence in the formative period of Martian Gardens 15 years ago and shall remain a staple of my programming as long as Martian Gardens continues its run here on WMUA.

With honor and gratitude to New Albion founder and proprietor Foster Reed -- Thank you very much,

Max Shea
